Celebrate back to school and back to shul with our annual Selichot and Sundaes event on Saturday, September 28th. Let’s have ice cream together as we prepare for the upcoming High Holidays.
For many Jews, the High Holiday season begins with Rosh Hashanah and the start of the new month of Tishrei. Jewish tradition, however, teaches that the preceding month of Elul is a time of soul-searching and reflection to prepare oneself for the magnitude of the Days of Awe. It is during this time that we observe Selichot. Our observance of Selichot on the Saturday evening prior to Rosh Hashanah will simply include a social gathering and ice cream!
Please RSVP to kolnefeshofmd@gmail.com if you can make it. We hope to see you there.
